Week 4: Beaverhead Mountains

Long Canyon, Beaverheads: The southern part of my mapping area.

A series of Z-folds in a chert/shale unit.

Folded vertical layers.

The west side of Copper Mountain in my area, 10,303'.

They told me to do it, or rather attempt it.

Are you like a hairlip now? Those pictures are fasinating. I would have liked to see in fast motion how all those swirling things occured. What great pictures of nature and of you, of course.

I am having fun with Hazel today.

Sweet stache, El Guapo...I mean, Evan. I haven't looked at your blog for a few weeks. Very cool pics of all the mountains. Especially the pic at the top of Big Windy Peak. I'm envious of your adventures this summer.

At least you can grow one - Derek attempts to every now and then

Love all the rock pictures.

Have you run into a bear yet?

Stay safe

LOVE the pictures! So cool! I am always so fascinated by geology and enjoy driving through the canyon, imaginaing how all these things formed this way and that! Great stache! There is this guy at my Physical Therapsit that shaves before work but by noon is getting a shadow! Thank goodness that's not our family! Happy 4th!
